Learnig the registration process for online application for Compostable Plastic Manufacturing License. The process & documents required for CPCB registration.
A Compostable Plastic Manufacturing Registration is an official authorization issued by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) that allows a business to legally manufacture plastic products which are certified as compostable plastics. It is a Government Authorization that confirms your factory or company is legally allowed to manufacture compostable plastic items, such as bags, packaging materials, or other plastic products that can break down naturally into compost under specific composting conditions. To operate legally, such manufacturers must obtain a Registration from the CPCB before manufacturing any compostable plastic. It certifies that the plastic products (like carry bags, packaging, etc.) meet strict criteria, meaning they will genuinely break down into natural components (like carbon dioxide, water, inorganic compounds, and biomass) in a composting environment, without leaving harmful or toxic residue.
Biodegradable things are any materials that breakdown in the environment when exposed to microorganisms, whereas compostable goods are especially organic matter that decomposes, with the end product having numerous useful uses such as fertilising and increasing soil health. Compostable plastics are not biodegradable plastics.
