Status Holder Certificate of DGFT

The Status Holder Certificate is a recognition granted by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) to exporters who demonstrate strong and consistent export performance. It is awarded to those businesses which contribute significantly to India’s foreign exchange earnings and global trade presence.

Exporters are classified into categories ranging from One Star to Five Star Export House based on their export turnover over a specified period. This structured system helps benchmark growth and provides a clear pathway for businesses to scale their international operations.
Beyond recognition, the certificate offers practical advantages such as simplified procedures and faster approvals. It also enhances the exporter’s credibility in global markets, helping build trust with international buyers and supporting long-term business expansion.
