Introduction

Uttar Pradesh Ground Water Department Certification: In Uttar Pradesh, obtaining of NOC before the abstraction of groundwater is required by every business organization, and occupiers must obtain a NOC from the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Ground Water Department rather than the Central Ground Water Authority. As per the purview of the Uttar Pradesh Ground Water (Management and Regulation) Act, 2019, the department works under it. In Uttar Pradesh, a new department was constituted in 1975, for the planned use, management, research, and study of groundwater sources, which was later called the 'Ground Water Department' in 1983. To publish recommendations for research, management, and planning relating to the state's groundwater resources and conduct groundwater studies, assessment, planning and development initiatives are the major objectives of developing this department.

The means for Commercial/Industrial/Infrastructural/Bulk Users (Applicant) to apply for NOC is provided by the Registration of Wells and Renewal of Registration through the Nivesh Mitra Portal. On the Nivesh Mitra Portal, the entrepreneurs will first register and then make a unit to apply for the Services of the Uttar Pradesh Ground Water Department Certification. Through the Ground Water Department Portal, the applicant's furnished details will be verified and processed by the concerned officials of the Ground Water Department. The status of applications from their respective login can be tracked by the applicants and concerned departmental users. They will get SMS & Email alerts at all necessary steps.
